Remembering 9-11 – Let’s Never Forget!
Last Meeting – Thursday Sep 8
Attendance: 11 Members; 2 Visitors – Claudine Miller, Judy Sikula
Member Tidbits: ● Welcome home to Dennis Corbly
Speaker: Ray Oliver, Jr. (son of former Club Charter Member Ray Oliver, Sr.)
Program: Ray spoke about his fifth book, “Freddy, A Love Story”. The book is based on the true life story of Freddy Fagen of Clinton, TN, a man with mental and physical disabilities. After interviewing more than 100 local residents, Ray has captured in words the town’s love affair with Freddy. In his late fifties now, Freddy is a local legend in Clinton. He’s fun-loving, he’s upbeat, he’s a pistol, he’s as outgoing, funny and uninhibited as a person can be.
Welcome to Our New Member
Give a big warm welcome to our newest member Claudine Miller. With her upcoming induction, our club membership will return to 19.
Project Soap & Shampoo
Keep on collecting those unused motel soaps, shampoos, and lotions and bring them to our Rotary meetings. This will allow us to donate these personal hygiene items to places like ‘Branches – Shelter for Battered Women’ and ‘Journey of Hope’.
