It is a great honor for Tellico Lake Rotary to have the distinguished former Chairman of the SEC as our keynote speaker.   Roy was appointed Chairman in 1990 and served 12 years.  During his time with the SEC, the conference won 81 national championships – the most ever in a decade by the league.  He oversaw the distribution of a then-league record $95.7 million to its member institutions for 2001 – 2002.  Kramer negotiated multi-sport national television packages with CBS and ESPN, featuring football and men’s and women’s basketball through the 2008 – 2009 season.  Because of his influence, the Men’s and Women’s “SEC Athlete of the Year Award” is presented annually as the Roy F. Kramer Award.

     Hiwassee College’s Dental Hygiene program will also be highlighted at this year’s dinner. This program, through the use of its Mobile Dental Unit, is a wonderful example of the college’s commitment to serving those in need in our area as well as teaching our school children the importance of dental hygiene from an early age. The Mobile Dental Unit will be present and available for touring before and after dinner.                       ________________
