Program: “Healthy Fitness Resolutions”
Bill is Chair of the Tellico Village Recreation Committee and his program focused on health and wellness for seniors. He spoke about the exercise opportunities available in the Village and particularly emphasized the need for strength training as we age.

● Welcome back to Maggie after her AZ stay. While gone, she and Roy celebrated their 50th Anniversary!
● Art is heading to FL for the winter – back mid-April.
● Dom’s MD daughter appeared before US Congress to provide them first-hand information on scleroderma.
Hiwassee College Dental Hygiene Clinic
We have been invited to attend the Ribbon Cutting ceremony of Hiwassee’s new Dental Hygiene Clinic on Jan 20, 6-8 pm. If you would like to attend, please email John Everson ASAP so we can RSVP. This is a great opportunity to meet the students and faculty of the Dental Hygiene department. Also, if we are able to get a Rotaract Club started, these students could be part of the core members.
A friend of mine tried to annoy me with bird puns, but I soon realized that toucan play at that game.
Sevier County Firestorm
Rotarians and others are still needed to volunteer at the Boyd’s Bear Rotary Distribution Center, 146 Cates Road, Pigeon Forge. Be sure to sign-in when you go. Volunteers hours are: Monday and Tuesday and Thursday through Saturday 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The Rotary Distribution Center will be operating until about February 15th.
Greg Maciolek Selected as DG for 2019-2020
District Governor Fred Heitman announced that Greg Maciolek of the Rotary Club of Knoxville Breakfast was selected to be the District Governor in 2019-2020.
Greg has been a member of the Knoxville Breakfast club since 1999 after retiring as a Colonel with 26 years in the Air National Guard and US Air Force. He served as club president for three years, currently serves as the club’s public image chair and is involved in many club activities. He also currently serves as Zone 30 Public Image Coordinator and as the District Secretary as well as the Communications Chair. Additionally, he serves as the district’s videographer with over 150 videos completed on behalf of the district and zone.
