The Mobile Dental Unit Hits the Road
The Hiwassee Mobile Dental Unit (MDU) made its first official “services” visit to Tellico Plains Elementary School on Thursday, May 4. Although the MDU had visited the school before for an “open-house” visit, this was the first day that hygiene services were performed in the MDU while under its own power. RCTL donated $6500 earlier in the year to complete a generator upgrade installation to allow for these types of independent mobile services operations.
New Club Display Board Debuts
A club display board has been prepared as an information and membership recruitment tool. Its primary use will be at the monthly “New Villagers” meetings, where it will be displayed along with Activity Guides to be handed out to new area residents.
